Hours 10:00 to 18:00(entry allowed up to 17:30)
Museum is closed on ・Mondays (except when a national holiday or holiday substitution day falls on a Monday, in which case the museum may be closed on the following Tuesday)
・Due to partial renovation, the Tobacco & Salt Museum will be closed on May 18, 2012.
・During the New Year's holidays (29 December - 3 January)
General admission fees ・Single, or in groups of 20 or more Adults and students over high-school level: single 100yen (groups 50yen per person)
・School pupils to high-school level: single 50yen
(groups 20yen per person)
For some exhibitions, higher fees may be charged.

  • *A special fee may be added depending on the exhibition.
  • *With certification, admission is free for persons over 70 years old.
  • *With certification, admission is free for disabled persons and their attendants.
  • *With a member's card for Japan National Committee for International Council of Museums (ICOM), admission is free for up to two persons.
  • *Re-admission after exiting the museum once is free only during the same day. Please ask at the reception desk.
  • *We have no parking lot. Please use the public pay parking lot on the basement floor of the Shibuya City Office Complex.
  • *The elevators do not stop at every floor due to the structural reasons.
  • *If you plan to use a wheelchair or baby stroller, please consult with the reception desk.
