Plant transformation technologies
PureIntro®
PureIntro® is Agrobacterium-mediated plant transformation and is recognized worldwide as the de facto standard of monocot transformation system. PureIntro® has been licensed to around 50 private and public entities worldwide for numerous monocots including maize, rice, wheat, barley, sorghum, sugarcane, switchgrass, Miscanthus, and turf.
PureExtro®
PureExtro® is a selectable marker-free technology for Agrobacterium-mediated plant transformation. Selectable marker genes are almost always indispensable in any transformation method, but there are political and social objections to the use of antibiotic resistance genes in plants for fresh or processed food. PureExtro® is a type of co-transformation system allowing selectable marker genes to be eliminated by segregation.
PureMlb®
PureMlb® overcomes the issue that so-called "vector backbone sequences" are frequently inserted into transformants and these are a problem in the de-regulation of transgenic events. Mlb stands for "multi-left-border" and PureMlb® dramatically decreases the frequency of transformation events including vector backbone sequences.
PureUpgrade®
PureUpgrade® is a package of technologies to 'upgrade' PureIntro®, Agrobacterium-mediated monocot transformation. It increases transformation efficiency considerably and/or extends the range of germplasm with practical transformation efficiency in wide range of crops. PureUpgrade® includes technologies of pre-treatment, inoculation, co-cultivation and regeneration media.
